Philosophical Pfridays

Sew Hungry

Today's thought: protected sewing time.

Between work, house work, exercise (this is a must), friends, and social obligations - how can one have a little sewing time to herself!?!!? I don't even have a kid! Or a fluffy friend! And I am DROWNING! I patiently wait all week until I get to go to M's for our crafternoons that normally occur for a few hours on Sundays. And that is pretty much my crafting time. Lately I have been trying to get together with a group of friends who porch knit on Tuesday nights but it doesn't always happen.

SO! Tell me how do you get your craft time in? Do you have protected time? Say, delegate a night for just you and your machine once a week? Twice a week? Do you just make sure you get an hour of sewing in ever day? How do you get your craft on?!!?!?

Happy Friday - here's a little mood music..
cheers!

  1. It's tough. Sometimes, I swear I will just go for 15 minutes...and still don't make it that far. Honestly, starting to work out in the evenings has actually helped. Because once I get done working out I have energy! so I go quilt for a little bit. Most often I end up with a big push on weekends. Er, when they aren't absorbed by errands and other tasks. Sometimes you have to be fierce about protecting crafty time!
