It is that time again - the pontification of paradoxes unknown! Grab a button from Marla's bliggity bloggy blog to do the same :-)
On the docket today: coffee. java. espresso. bean juice. liquid crack. the good stuff. You know what I am talking about. Marla so kindly obliged to a bagel date with me this morning and while I always drink coffee with my bagel, M opted for a nice Chai. She calls it Christmas in a cup if I remember. Now, don;t get me wrong - a chai is nice once in a while. But I really like coffee these days. Marla says - "What's the point if you load it up with cream and sugar? No point to drink it unless you just drink it black."
I disagree. I enjoy tasting coffees from all different types of beans and roasting styles. It is always a new adventure. Now - I have weaned myself off the cancer packet - also known as splenda. Although not because of the cancer - just because I find myself really wanting to taste the flavor of the coffee. But I am not quite to the all black stage. I need a little cream to give it some body. And let's be honest, a lot of the time I need what dad and I call special coffee - a little tipple of Kahlua goes a long way for me.
So! What's your take? You dig the beans or no? If so how do you take yours? If not, what's your choice of substance abuse? Tea? Hot chocolate? You don't like warm - what's your cold go to brew?
