1. His name is Mr Sudoku. This is because he started off as a charm pack of 9 fabrics from the Kate Spain line Central Park and a Sudoku puzzle to solve. A cute little kit from Moda - like this.
2. My gramma actually gave me the kit and told me I needed to make a quilt for myself - under no circumstances was I allowed to gift it. So from the get go I knew this quilt was all for me - which doesn't happen often :-)
Sorry for the crappy pictures; when it was sunny it was too windy and Marla wouldn't let me post pictures of her body outline behind the quilt (because the wind was blowing it against her). So today it wasn't so sunny. We made do I think.
Without further ado - MR SUDOKU!

And I think some of you already knew this was coming: the whole time I was making him I kept replacing Mr Roboto with Mr Sudoku in the song below!
Linking up with Beth over at Plum and June for the Let's get Acquainted Monday linky party. I like this party because I get to make new blogging buddies and keep track of all the great stuff they are making.
Thanks for sharing my finish with me!

ReplyDeleteYay for a finish, and what a beaut, too! :D Central Park remains one of my all time favorite quilting lines, and this is just so happy and fun. :D Wonderful work!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! Love the colours and fabrics you've used - bright and cheerful! The lime green you chose for the binding frames the quilt perfectly and I think your FMQ skills looks great! Well done on a beautiful finish, Kim. =)
ReplyDeleteMr. Sudoku is just lovely, his forest is the perfect addition. Good on your Gramma for making him yours- it is so true how we quilters always gift our work! Enjoy!
