Halftime Hustle!

Kelsey Sews

Holla Hustlin' Homies! We have reached the t^(1/2) of this 100 day Hustle hosted by Kelsey of Kelsey Sews. Linky party to catch everyone's awesome hustling skills is happening in honor of reaching the 50 day mark. So I feel it is my duty to now beat you over the head with my Hustle 'n Bustle business. Let's jump in!

1. Mr. Sudoku - DONE!
You can read more about him here.
Mr Sudoku front
Already in use!
This was a lot of fun. To read more about the specifics go here.
Here they are!
What I made my partner
MY AMAZING LOOT!
What my awesome partner made me - clearly she is the super swapper.
3. Double wedding ring quilt (DWR) - PITIFUL
I think I touched this once. Maybe twice.
Double Wedding Ring (DWR) disaster
Only 3 more of these to make... WAMP WAMP.
4. Baby hats - DONE!
A coworker had 2 grand-babies within a month.
Baby hat #1
Little girl hat - don't look too closely at that failure to decrease.
Baby hat #2 done!
Little boy hat. If I made a few more of these
I think I would finally get the pattern down.
5. October Nubees - DONE!
Sent these off a while ago. Hopefully my hivemates like them!
Tried to have fun with color but keep simple shape.
6. I would like to make a tutorial - DONE!
Decided to make a tutorial after a lot of good faith from all of you!
You can read more about it here. I made one for the blocks above - I dubbed it my Window Pane block.

7. Finish Nubees quilt - NADA
Waiting on a few more blocks!

8. Christmas Ornaments - NADA
Need to find lots of buttons. If you know where to find a good variety of buttons in bulk let me know please! I already have a few faves on Etsy.

9. Quilted Wine totes - NADA
Next big bite. I have been putting this off but it really needs to get done. Using this tutorial when the time comes.

10. M's holiday delight - NADA
Sketches have been occurring and I know what I am making but no actual starting yet.

11. Family Christmas quilts - STARTED
I decided to make my step sister and step brother this Strip n Flip quilt for their Christmas gifts. A little bit of progress - got hers almost all pieced.
Gift in the making
Used a California Girl jelly roll by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda
Fabrics are selected and cut. Pattern is Katy's Spring carnival pattern. The first time I EPP will be this weekend - wish me luck!
Fabrics for Traveling Pic-Stitch
Hexies are flowers, triangles are light blue, squares are dark blue
13. Mystery Knit-a-long (KAL) - DONE!
Just finished this puppy last week. It was a lot of fun. All the specs are here!
Twistedness
Intertwisted cowl by Michelle at Knit Purl Hunter
So if we re-examine my list and condense it down to all that is remaining we have the following:

1. DWR
2. FInish Nubees quilt
3. Christmas ornaments
4. Christmas wine totes
5. Marla's holiday delight
6. Family Christmas quilts
7. Best friend's birthday pillow

Which in half the time I have almost completed half my list. If I put a little more oomph into my Hustle I may just finish this list! Now make sure to check out everyone else's Hustle endeavors over at Kelsey's!

  1. Those little hats are some SERIOUS cuteness, your co-worker is so lucky both for the adorable gifts and the new grandchildren!! I wish I could knit - I try each winter and so far no go.

  3. Wow you did make a lot of progress ! Congratulations !!

I LOVE your double wedding ring quilt, it *might* be the pattern I'm going to use for a quilt for my bed. It is really hard to make ? Time consuming ? Boring ?
